How Student Can stay Healthy on Campus

Nigeria’s health care system has been adjudged to be weak,
so it is not surprising that many higher institutions clinics are weak as well.
A report by Daily trust showed that most clinics are
not performing to their full capacity. Some have bad structures; others are short
of clinical personnel, drugs, equipment or there’s generally poor attitude of
personnel.
For s student staying healthy is paramount and necessary for
sound academic work.

Student's need to live healthy while in school because they encounter many challenges and are exposed to many health risks. Some are common so are not.
Lets’ look at ways that students can stay healthy while on campus.
DON'T LEAVE YOUR STOMACH EMPTY FOR TOO LONG
Students need to be eating regularly in order to avoid hunger
because it can affect them physically or mentally. Hunger causes ulcer and
other related disease.
DRINK CLEAN WATER
Drinking unclean water can cause typhoid another water-borne
health risks. Students should do away from
unhygienic water if one cannot afford bottle water then make do with sachet water in order to live healthy.
AVOID UNHYGIENIC TOILET/BATHROOM
Student can do well to avoid dirty bathroom and toilet because
of the risk of infections. Where students live in numbers it will be wise to
wash toilets and bathroom’s regularly and also apply chemicals that would kill
germs to ensure absolute hygiene.
EAT GOOD FOOD

There are different classes of food such as protein, minerals, vitamin, carbohydrate e.t.c that make students strong and healthy. They should eat fruits like apple, mango and Orange. As well as vegetables ( Green leaves and bitter leaves) Egg, meat beaverages and among others.
HAVE GOOD SLEEP

As a student you need to have proper rest to help participate in school activities effectively. Lack of sleep can impact your mental health and makes you weak in school activities like lectures, assignments and even practical. Students need good sleep to stay strong and healthy on campus.
ENSURE SAFE SEX
Practice safe sex is equally important for students. The risk associated with unsafe sex can ruin a student academically. For example a student can pick infection that can be contagious that can be expensive to treat.
