Tips to Pass Examination in Higher Institution

The Director General of the Nigeria law school, Olanrewaju Anadeko said 73per cent of those who took part in the recent law school examination in April passedwhile 27 percent failed.

The Nation Newspaper reports the many causes of mass failure of students to includes:  Laziness, bad reading habit, overconfidence, cramming, finance, diet, wrong company, and ill-equipped teachers.

 However, there are also cases where many students fail exams not because they never read but because the fear of exam intimidate them and they end up failing the exam despite all their efforts put together for the exam.

As student of higher institution, studying and passing exams can be very simple if you follow these tips:  

Go to exams hall 15 minutes before time

This helps you relax your brain, think straight, and put you into an examination mood. But when you come late you may be distracted and unsettled and that can contribute to make you not to perform well.

Stay calm and avoid distractions

Here even if you read well before coming for the exam if you lack a sense of concentration it mights contribute to unsettling you thereby affecting your ability to recall things you studied for the exam.

 Take time and understand Exam questions before you Answers

When question papers are shared, do not just rush into starting answering them. Most students fail exam is lack of understanding of question. Thus, is good to know what the question is saying before providing answer to it. This helps you fetch more marks.

Start with the easiest to the hardest

Since exam is time compliant, it is good to start with the simplest questions to the ones you consider hard. Once you are done with the simple ones you can come back to struggle with the difficult ones before time finishes. Sometimes, while on the easiest one you still remember some of the answers for the difficult ones.
